Our accomodation

At Tregear Barns, we have two holiday barns - Skyber & The Byre. Both are equally well equipped, have two bedrooms, their own decks and are comfortable and spacious. The barns are situated very near to Truro and the centre of Cornwall, directly between the villages of Ladock and Trispen. They are accessed off a quiet lane and the site has a gated, gravel car park and a beautiful outlook across a valley of open farmland towards Ladock, Carland Cross & Newquay.

The choice of which barn to stay in can be difficult. Each can accomodate a family of four or five in comfort.

The barns were once part of a working farm and were re-built in 2008 with permission to become Holiday Lets. In 2012 they were re-furnished to become high quality holiday accomodation. Our aim was to provide a standard of furnishing, fixures and fittings that our guests would be happy to have in their own homes, to ensure that comfort was assured and create that 'home from home' feeling. (hence the solid oak furniture, cream leather sofas, flokati rugs, Laura Ashley curtains etc.) 

Both barns have two bedrooms. In the case of Skyber, everything is on one level, with a sitting room/dining room, a separate kitchen and a spacious bathroom with bath and shower. The master bedroom, with a solid wood king size bed, is bright, spacious and beautifully appointed, as is the second bedroom, which contains a small double bed and a full size single, as well as an additional LED TV/DVD player. The attraction of Skyber is having everything on one level, which really appeals to families with older children, as well as mature couples. 

The Byre however, is equally comfortable, if not more stylish, with an open plan kitchen/dining and sitting room and another spacious bathroom, again with bath and shower. The Byre has the second bedroom downstairs, in the style of a yacht cabin with full adult size bunks, whilst upstairs in the eves, at the top of the spiral staircase, there is a beautiful master bedroom with fantastic views over the valley. The Byre is very attractive to families with very young children, as the staircase can be enclosed with a stairgate and the yacht cabin bedroom door can be left open to monitor toddlers and babies. It can also be a very romantic destination for couples who don't mind a short climb to their picturesque nest!
